Keyword investigate tools may be in for additional overhaul. Google’s formula today appears to be viewing the capitalized versions of keywords as removed from the lowercase versions. I came crossways this while intelligent for the lowercase and uppercase versions of the keyword “engagement rings.” Look at these concealment shots from the 216.239.59.99 datacenter.

Searching with a top “E” gives different results than intelligent with every lowercase letters, and I also detected discrepancies between lowercase and uppercase letters with that keyword at the 64.233.183.107 datacenter.
Now, look at the differences in the SERPS at the 64.233.171.107 datacenter for the lower and uppercase version of the keyword “dog tags.” The results modify after the ordinal wager result.

Assuming this isn’t a temporary glitch, the SEO landscape will undergo additional transformation. If this reflects a actual modify in the algorithm, keyword investigate tools such as Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery will have to be keyed to compensate. They currently don’t differentiate between searches with lowercase and top letters. Since the Google wager results were believed to be identical for each, they had no think to.
We’ll have to wait for an authorised word from Google (if they give one), but correct today this is looking at lot less like a glitch and a lot more like a actual agitate in the algorithm. And it would be a momentous one. I would guess that grouping wager with different forms of estimation as ofttimes as they misspell text or use the plural form of words. But it’s just a guess, as there is no keyword investigate data to backwards that hypothesis up….yet.
We’ll have to keep our eyes on this one.

Ironic Google Ads Juxtaposed
I’m here at the ACCM conference. It’s been a fun exhibit so far. Amy Africa’s conference was hilarious and information-packed — awing stuff! I presented on a SEM Lab (a place clinic) this morning. I was giving a tip to digit of the place owners in the audience. Their most germane keywords are very status and hardly searched on at all. The more favourite keywords weren’t rattling things that they offered, though those text were likely searches for their target audience. So I suggested they target these tangentially attendant keywords by substance a glossary of terms on their site. Each term, such as “market segmentation”, would have a tender dedicated to it with not exclusive a definition but also additional resources and links. Even better, they could make this glossary a wiki so that place visitors could add to and edit the definitions, thus encouraging visitor status (i.e. “consumer generated content”!) and making the definitions more plausible and more link-worthy because there was consensus from every the visitors. This rattling does work.
I showed the conference an example of this construct in action… specifically: SEO Glossary.com, a place that we at Netconcepts developed for marketing purposes.
We exclusive took a 12 tender glossary of SEO terms that I used to hand discover at conferences and turned it into a wiki. This place is hierarchical #1 and #2 in Google for “seo glossary”, among stiff competition, including Aaron Wall’s SEOBook. As I was explaining this in the session, I pulled up the SEO Glossary place and my co-panelists Matt lexicologist and Detlev Johnson started laughing. I couldn’t figure discover why they were laughing, so I had to ask. They told me: analyse discover the Google ads on the page. On digit hand, you have “Avoid SEO Malpractice: Know the Questions to Ask Your Prospective SEO Management Firm” and on the another you have the very dodgy sounding “Guaranteed Page 1 Ranking: Guaranteed Page 1 Rankings $49.95 No Charge Until You are on Page 1″. Oh the irony! It’s nearly as if the first ad is referring specifically to its neighboring ad! I took a screenshot for posterity (the digit shown directly above; the flushed mark I additional myself for effect
